Arizona Multiculturalism
Arizona has had a long history of ethnic diversity. It parallels the United States in so many ways, but also is unique even to many Western States. Below you will read about the migration of African Americans, Chinese Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Jewish-Americans to Arizona, particularly to Phoenix. There will be a list of sources that can be used for general research such as books, manuscripts, ephemera, biographies, and websites. Each will have a website for major organizations that support and uphold that ethnic community, as well as major studies on these cultural groups. Below these sites are demographic information about the ethnic populations in the counties and cities of Arizona provided by the Arizona State University Maps department. I hope you enjoy Arizona's Multiculturalism.
