Injustices in Arizona
This list has been included in order to bring focus on certain dark chapters of Arizona History. The Bascom Affair, The Long Walk, the Camp Grant Massacres, and the Phoenix Indian School, all deal with specific atrocities against Native Americans. Many dealing with outright massacres and harsh subjugation methods, others dealing with the assimilation of a culture. Japanese Internment Camps deal with the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II in Arizona. There were two camps in Arizona, Poston and Gila River. The Bisbee Deportation deals with the deportation of miners during a strike in 1917. They were moved from Bisbee, Arizona and dropped off at the New Mexico border, ending the strike.
