Kearny

This town was included in construction of a special precipitation-flotation installation by the Ray Mines Division of the Kennecott Company in 1958, with a community to house plant workers and their families. The town is named for General John Stephen Watts Kearny, who crossed Arizona and passed near this spot in November 1846. The Parke 1851 map shows his route.
