The Spanish Period
These sites deal with Spanish explorers from Coronado to Father Kino. It also deals with the missions established by Spain in Arizona and the Southwest. Many of the sources selected try to deal specifically with the explorers, missions and missionaries, and Spanish occupation in Arizona. There is also a site on the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. Some of the sources will also deal with Texas, New Mexico, and California for it was the area that was most explored and occupied by the Spanish. I hope you find my selections below helpful, and if you feel I have omitted any important explorers that deal with Arizona please let me know. This site, as well as many others, are still under constuction. I hope you find the material useful, enjoy.
